Profile: Panik Designs

Panik Designs was set up at the beginning of 2003 by Annika Simpson and Paul Brown, two young enterprising graduates from Glasgow School of Art. After graduating they decided to join forces and realise their dream of establishing their own studio. Receiving awards from The Scottish Arts Council, PSYBT and Scottish Enterprise, they were able to set-up with all the necessary equipment and knowledge to run a printed textile design studio creating exclusive hand screen-printed and digitally printed textiles for all areas of the contemporary domestic and commercial interior. In 2004 Annika & Paul were runners-up in the regional heats of the Shell Livewire Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards.


We work regularly on projects with interior designers and architects for clients who are looking for something unique and individual to them, whether it is for their home or their place of work. We also have many private clients who come directly to us for a bespoke design service, some clients have a vision of what they would like but just can't find what they are looking for, perhaps they want window dressings to complement the artwork they have collected or they are wanting feature curtains to set the mood of the room. We have also worked on show homes, office developments, retail shops and exhibition displays, however, we would welcome the opportunity to design for bars, restaurants or hotels as we believe our style lends itself to individuality and quality.
