I am a freelance illustrator with over 10 years experience working for major UK and international publishers, design companies and private commissions.

I am very flexible in my working methods, from traditional media - watercolour, pen and ink, pencil - to work generated digitally - most frequently using Corel Painter - and often combining the two by scanning original drawings to finish on computer.

The variety of my past work has required me to draw pretty much any subject matter you can imagine, from space travel to natural history, scenes of Victorian Britain to humorous cartoons explaining the inner workings of our bodies! Speed and versatility are the key words I'd use to describe my work and approach.

My work is used for:

Publishing - childrens and educational, non-fiction and instructional books, cartoons, covers, magazines and trade publications

Graphic design - advertising and corporate, website illustration

Animation - character development / design, storyboards, background art, frames for animation

Production design - concept development, visuals, set design, film draughting
