AWS Electronics is a medium sized Contract Electronics Manufacturer (CEM) based in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, with 230+ employees and a £12M+ turnover. AWS has built on its core manufacturing capabilities (assembly of finished products, sub-assemblies, PCBs and cable harnesses) considerable capabilities in design, accreditation and whole-life support. They manufacture for many industries including aerospace, defence, medical and scientific instrument, safety, rail, industrial and vending. With its skilled workforce (IPC 610/611 qualified), excellent technical capabilities and rugged procedures, AWS is expert in not only manufacturing but also supporting the design and development process. In addition to up-front development and manufacturing, AWS also provides whole-life support. This includes field support, diagnostics, repairs, refurbishment, overhaul (to IPC 7710/7711 standards) and upgrades. They also undertake re-specifications and re-designs around obsolete components, and reverse engineering of product with incomplete technical data.

Accredited to BS9001:2000, AWS works (and is audited) in different cells to UK military specs, US FDA and UK food industry standards. Each production cell is designed around the requirements of each client.
